Oh, why am I starting a blog, eh? Well, funny you should ask, because I was about to go into a lame explanation of that very thing!
So, I guess I just started this blog-type thing, and I've been out of the blogging business since xanga fell off into obscurity (or, rather, what I assume is obscurity; do people still use xanga?). Anyway, I suppose that I should indulge (wait, is it endulge or indulge? I'm going to stick with "in-" but for the record, in case I'm wrong, I'm not positive) in the obligatory "Introduction to Who I Am and All That Jazz" post. Kind of pointless, perhaps, since let's be honest, I'm the only person who's reading this blog, and if anyone else picks it up later on, they're probably not going to go back through the archives or whatever and look at this, but hey, here goes nothing.
So, m'name's Adam. I live in the Columbus, Ohio, area, and have done so for the far majority of my life. I did live in Minnesota for about fourteen months and North Dakota for about ten as a missionary, but other than that I've been in Ohio. I'm a student at Ohio State, probably going into English and maybe minoring in Linguistics, but we'll see how this next quarter goes. I like to read and write a lot, and I'm really into music. I was in a band called Clockwork [Heart] for a few four years in and shortly after high school, and now I'm mostly playing solo acoustic folk stuff, looking for shows and all that jazz. Hoping to put out a record soon.
Interests include reading, writing poetry and prose, listening to, writing, and playing music, repeating myself (apparently), language, astronomy, politics and sociology, theology and comparative religious studies, comedy, film, and zombies. And, blogging, looks like.
So, I guess what I'll mainly use this for is to write about things that I think about, and it'll basically end up being a place for me to write essays that I assign myself. Boy does THAT sound like a load of funtimes or what. Boy does it or what.
